Apenas unos días después de anunciar una nueva parada en Marruecos, World Poker Tour Enterprises anunció que se ha asociado con bwin para la realización de un evento WPT en la ciudad de Venecia. Será el primer torneo de este tipo en Italia.
Hace unos días comentábamos acerca de la novedad anunciada por el World Poker Tour (WPT), que por primera vez llevaría la acción al continente africano. Pues ahora acaban de anunciar que se han asociado con bwin para organizar el primer torneo WPT en Italia.
El WPT Venecia se llevará a cabo entre los días 6 y 10 de mayo en el Casino di Venezia, con transmisión del torneo en vivo, de la mesa final y de la premiación de quien resulte el primer Campeón WPT Venecia disponibles también en el sitio de bwin. Los clientes de bwin tendrán además la posibilidad de realizar apuestas en vivo por sus jugadores favoritos en la mesa final, mientras disfrutan de la acción.
La sala de apuestas ofrece además la oportunidad de clasificar para el torneo a través de satélites en línea con premio de paquetes valuados en $8.700, incluyendo la entrada al WPT Venecia, cinco noches en hotel cinco estrellas en el centro de la ciudad y gastos de movilidad.
El ganador del Evento Principal, que tendrá un buy-in de €4.000 + €400, recibirá como premio adicional un brazalete oficial WPT Venecia y una entrada de $25.000 para el World Poker Tour Championship 2010. Además de ese Evento Principal, se disputarán una serie de eventos paralelos y mesas de cash.
Steve Lipscomb, comentó sobre la novedad "Estamos muy gustosos de lanzar nuestro primer torneo WPT en Italia". Y en referencia a sus socios en el evento, opinó: "bwin es un socio fuerte, con la posición en el mercado apropiada en la región. Esperamos que el trabajo con ellos pueda llevar este evento y la marca WPT a los jugadores de póquer en Italia y en toda Europa".
Por su parte, el co-CEO de bwin Manfred Bodner, también se manifestó, diciendo que "al asociarnos al World Poker Tour, mostramos nuestra dedicación en establecernos como el mejor destino para los jugadores de póquer ansiosos por vivir el sueño de jugar multimillonarios torneos en vivo. La locación también es muy impotrtante para nosotros, y creemos que Venecia es verdaderamente un destino muy valioso para los jugadores, para los medios de comunicación ligados al póquer y para las marcas bwin y WPT". Y agregó también: "Estamos complacidos de trabajar junto a WPT para este evento en particular. Este torneo reunirá la emoción e interactividad que sólo puede ofrecer bwin, ya que la gentre podrá apostar por sus jugadores favoritos en la mesa final, mientras siguen las acciones en sus pantallas".
